Ammonium Sulfate, Granular, Lab Grade is an inorganic salt that is very soluble in water. Most often used as a soil fertilizer to release minute amounts of acid and contribute to the essential nitrogen. It is also used in biochemistry as a precipitant to purify protein. The Lab Grade describes chemicals of good quality where there are no official standards and is normally limited to inorganic chemicals.
