Potassium Sodium Tartrate, Laboratory Grade is a double salt and is deliquescent so the material deteriorates if stored in damp conditions. It has also been used in the process of silvering mirrors. In organic synthesis, it is used in aqueous workups to break up emulsions, particularly for reactions in which an aluminum-based hydride reagent was used. Laboratory grade products supplied by ScienceLab are indicative of a grade suitable for general industrial use or research purposes and typically are not suitable for human consumption or therapeutic use.
