Glycerol, 99.5% Laboratory Grade

Glycerol, Laboratory grade is an odorless, viscous and colorless liquid sugar alcohol (polyol). Glycerol has three hydroxyl groups that allow its solubility in water and give it it's hygroscopic nature. It is used in gel formation for polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and in density modification of gel electrophoresis samples. Laboratory grade products supplied by ScienceLab are indicative of a grade suitable for general industrial use or research purposes and typically are not suitable for human consumption or therapeutic use.
