Aluminum Chloride, Hexahydrate, Technical, in its pure form is a white and granular solid. Often cited as a Lewis acid this inorganic compound is a good example of a compound that cracks at mild temperature, reversing from a polymer to a monomer. It is often used as a component of antiperspirant in low doses. It can also be used as a catalyst in the ene reaction or as a polymerization in the reactions of hydrocarbons.
